We will be having regular weekly training on every Tuesday at Queenstown Swimming Complex from 7.00pm to 8.45pm
Finswimming is an underwater sport consisting of four disciplines; namely swimming with a mask and snorkel on the surface with the use of either mono-fins or bi-fins or underwater with a mono-fin whilst either by holding one’s breath or using an open-circuit air tank.
Events exist over distances similar to swimming competitions for both swimming pool and open water venues. Competitions at world and continental levels are organised by the Confederation Mondiale des Activities Subaquatiques (CMAS), better known as the World Underwater Federation, of which the Singapore Underwater Federation is a local representative of.
The first world championship was held in 1976. It also has been featured at the World Games since 1981 and was demonstrated at the European Games in June 2015.
The Singapore Underwater Federation is proud to be the national platform for the sport and welcomes one and all to participate at any level. Regular training is held every Tuesday at Queenstown Swimming Complex from 7:00pm – 8:45pm.
